Indicator Progress Milestones
A. Ensures opportunities for students to develop initiative and engage in collaborative problem solving Both math and ELA curriculums offer students opportunities for problem solving and collaboration. In particular the application problem in the Eureka math lesson is one of the best opportunities for collaborative problem solving. In addition the Second Step social skills curriculum provides teacher a venue to have students problem solve social skills, many elementary classrooms provide students a morning meetings. This is an area that will continue to be developed.

B. Ensures opportunities for students to be part of one or more co-curricular, extracurricular, or leadership opportunities and CTSOs. Elementary schools offer a variety of extra leadership opportunities. One is student council. They are not consistent across our elementary schools. Continued work will take place in this area.
